2018 PASA STALLIONS FC NSFA SEASON

Our 2018 NSFA seasons came to an end last week, Here’s a summary of how our teams went.

TUESDAY NIGHT LANE COVE

MIXED TEAMS

PASA STALLIONS FC MIXED A

We had 2 mixed teams playing at Lane Cove this season- Mixed A and Mixed Red. Our Mixed A team started the season with a 3-2 win against the reigning Champions Let’s Get Messi. 2 tough losses followed, followed by a win V Friends and then another hard fought loss against Victory Secret. What then followed was an amazing run of form, not losing the next 6 games. Unfortunately the A Team finished 2 points of 4th place, meaning that the didn’t make the finals. In the Europa League friendly series, they won both games, scoring 12 goals in the process.

PASA STALLIONS FC MIXED RED

The Mixed Red team started the season with a loss V Grand Finalists Victory Secret., followed by a loss V ABCDE FC. Following a bit of injury replacement recruiting, they had two great wins followed by a tough draw. Form then fluctuated, as injuries started to hit the squad. The season saw Mixed Red finish 8th.

MENS

muPASA

Our muPASA mens’ team started off strong, however injuries then hit the squad. The squad had great wins against teams at the top of the ladder, but then struggled while short of players. They did however get a few reinforcements to help out the squad, and this meant a solid finish to the season. Just missed out of the finals, but did match the top teams when muPASA’s squad was injury free.

PASA WHITE

Our PASA White team started the season a bit slowly, with new players still getting used to the experienced heads of the squad. The draw did not help, facing the top 3 teams twice over the first 8 weeks. However, they had great results, and some tough losses. Come the back ned of the season once the squad and more settled, they produced some great results to really finish the season strong.

THURSDAY NIGHT – MILLS PARK

MENS

Our mens team at Mills Park was a completely new PASA Stallions FC team – with all but one player never playing for the Stallions before. A team that was expected to finish mid table instead dominated the regular season with 10 wins out of 10 games. Unfortunately, their only loss of the season was a semi final – but that can’t take away how great this season was. Also qualifying for Champion of Champions was a nice reward for this team that will be back stronger and better in 2019
